Sanjay Rajan - Grade 11
When creating this poster, my main goal was to show people that food was a right, not a privilege, hence the title name. Everyone should be able to eat, yet our world is plagued with a statistic-Over 1 in 7 people have faced food insecurity in their life. Through the innovative solution of hydroponics and community empowerment with Levo, I hope to encourage people to donate, volunteer, and most of all take action in order to build a future without hunger.

Aliana Harrison - Grade 10
My poster is about showing that hunger isn’t just something that happens far away, it’s happening right her in our community too. I used a bold headline and a photo of people in line to make it real, and I added quotes to hit harder emotionally. The orange colors, the LEVO logo, and the Hunger Action Month hashtag tie it all together and connect it to the campaign.

I really enjoy deep diving on topics and drawing so I had alot of fun making this! I made it on Procreate, so all of it is hand drawn. When I thought of something to draw to go for the topic, I remembered that the first game I ever played was Kirby Gourmet Race, so I decided to build off of that to make the poster a little more colorful despite the serious topic. This was alot of fun to make and I'm glad I got to participate!

Yulissa Zamora - Grade 9
My name is Yulissa, and I created this poster to raise awareness about food insecurity in Connecticut, especially how it affects children. I included statistics to show how big the problem is, and I talked about the role school meals play in helping families.
I also wanted to highlight the work that Levo International is doing in Hartford — turning vacant lots into hydroponic farms and giving fresh food to families who need it. I think that kind of local solution is really inspiring, so I featured Levo in the “How we will contribute” section of the poster.
The goal of my poster is to inform people and encourage them to donate or support organizations like yours that are making a difference.

My poster is focusing on the lack of grocery stores in CT and how if three different towns are relying on one grocery store then food sells out quickly which is good for the store but also bad for families who cant get the food cause it sold out. So my idea was to make more grocery stores.

My poster is one of the many possible solutions to help alleviate food insecurity. This poster shows how hunger is like a puzzle with missing pieces. Sasha Bellegarde - Grade 10
Hello Levo, my name is Sasha B., and this is my digital poster! This poster isn’t harshly inspired by anything, but I believe it gives off a universal vibe. It may just be my own bias, but I believe colors bring people together. Doodles and sketchy art, I feel, always pleases someone's eyes because we all started with crayons and pencils as kids. As to how this will raise awareness for Hunger and Poverty, I believe it will by its bright and welcoming feel. I designed this poster so it will be noticeable to all ages. The sticky note layout, bright colors, and food title are meant to give off a kid-ish feel, to evoke comfort and familiarity. I mostly used warm tones, with the exception of some green (to incorporate your logo’s colors), and a few other colors to bring positivity. The sticky note layout gives organization to the different topics that are being presented, but it also adds dimension and fun to the poster. The title is my personal favorite of this poster because of its unique structure. The letters are food to represent “World Hunger Awareness,” and the bite marks are to show the need for food, as it’s on each of the letters.

Aydenne Clarke - Grade 9
Its about the struggles of disabled people and how they all can't get easy access to food.

Ilhana Korkutovic - Grade 9
My poster shows how not everyone gets the luxury to have a meal on the table everyday or to get special treatment. Poverty is serious and should not be taken lightly, that's why I tried to encourage people to support international hunger month because it empowers communities to work together to end poverty as I stated in my poster. I also mentioned Levo and their goal as an organization and so on. Thank you!

Food insecurity for college students.

Yuhan Wang - Grade 12
The poster “From Empty to Empowered” uses stark contrast to illustrate the reality of food insecurity and the hope offered by Levo’s solutions. On the left, a child with an empty bowl in a barren landscape represents the struggle of 1 in 8 families. On the right, a child in a greenhouse holds a full bowl, symbolizing empowerment through sustainable hydroponic systems. The poster highlights Hunger Action Month and introduces a creative action plan—including social media challenges, the “Full Bowl Challenge,” hydroponic pop-ups, and youth innovation—to mobilize communities and transform empty bowls into full ones.

Zoey Harrington - Grade 9
My poster describes how places in Connecticut, specifically New Haven, don't have access to healthy or nutritious food and are considered food deserts. My design also explained how my solution is to partner with already existing food pantries. The food pantry I chose was Christian Community Action because they not only do food pantries, but also emergency housing, and shelters.
