Central Plateau Development Program

Levo began its work in the Central Plateau and has reached hundreds of households since 2016. Levo’s programs are separated into two, our Bokit and Babylon initiatives.

The Bokit program supports the most families, a total of 300 to date in the Central Plateau. The Bokits are 5-gallon hydroponic buckets, made out of a 5-gallon pail and a lid with two holes in the top. Plants rest in the top of the bucket, and watering is required only sparsely.

The Babylon Initiative puts Levo’s 5 x 2 foot hydroponic system in the hands of a family, providing environmentally sustainable, and year-round produce for a family of 5. Levo charges $50 per system, a heavily subsidized rate. Levo expects to install 100 Babylon systems in the Central Plateau in 2022.
